In response to public interest, the Jewish Community Center of the North Shore will hold a Healthy Eating Symposium on
The following individuals will participate in a panel discussion at the beginning of the event:
- Julie Pottier-Brown, Director of the Organic Farm Co-op here on the North Shore
- Roberta Kalechofsky, writer, lecturer, author, and vegetarianism advocate
- Leah Jacobson, raw foods chef
- Gloria Bakst, food & wellness consultant, author, and chef will be doing a food demonstration of the recipe - Whipped Cauliflower.
- Christine Mastrangelo, pediatric nutritionist.
The goal of the event is to educate the public about the environmental impact and science behind healthy eating choices. Following the discussion, there will be cooking demonstrations and an opportunity to meet with the panelists to answer individual questions.
